A PADI IDC - (Instructor Development Course) - is your chance to teach diving as a career in the tropics or back home. Buddha View's IDC in Thailand gives you that opportunity. Our program includes many extras to help make you a better PADI dive instructor.
Our Instructor Course includes:

Diving and assisting dive courses prior to the IDC. This is your chance for added preparation for the Instructor Development Course, assisting experienced instructors for real world tips and suggestions.

Review of PADI Divemaster theory and skill demonstrations prior to the IDC, strengthening this knowledge and skill for the PADI IE (Instructor Examination).

PADI Marine Resource Management Seminar. Reef ecology knowledge that should be a must for all Dive Instructors.
Preparation
We begin your Instructor course with a four day IDC preparation course. The Instructor Development prep course addresses many of the skills and knowledge for the PADI IE – (Instructor Examination). On the IDC prep course you will:
- review dive theory
- review dive skill demonstrations
- give your first IDC presentations
(confined water and in the classroom).
This pre-IDC preparation is the basis for Buddha View's 'PADI IE pass guarantee'. By the end you will be fully prepared to breeze through the actual IDC without any worries, leaving more time to concentrate on making you a better instructor in the real world.
The Instructor Course - IDC
The PADI IDC is conducted over an additional ten days including more than the minimum number of presentations in confined water, open water and academics, plus Instructor Development workshops for the Open Water, Adventures in Diving, Rescue Diver and PADI Dive Master courses. Dive Careers PADI IDC schedule is a relaxed, enjoyable thorough programme including great lunches, social nights and loads of added extras.
During the IDC you will develop important skills for working as a PADI dive instructor. The Buddha View IDC includes reef ecology seminars, tech diving presentations and Emergency First Response Instructor training. Our IDC ends with a mock instructor examination to build confidence and extra practice for the PADI IE
